As a songwriter, Linda Mizzi, based in Katoomba in the NSW Blue Mountains, covers a lot of territory, and she does it with considerable and occasionally quirky charm. “Of course, music is far more porous than genre-definers would have us believe, and such is the case with her music” – Predominantly a folk singer songwriter, Linda does let her muse wander where it may. Her influences are as diverse as Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crow, Rickie Lee Jones and even the late Doris Day.
Linda performs as a solo artist but also performs with her band members and good friends; Alexander Keller – on bass guitar, Ian Neil Morrison on drums and percussion, Stephen Waters on lead guitar, and Michelle Morrison on Piano Accordion.
Her second album titled REAL PEOPLE was released in 2018 and received a number of reviews and airplay – in Europe, the US and the UK.
As a songwriter primarily, Linda continues to write almost daily – conveying messages and her observations of life through her songwriting. Linda and the band are currently working on her third album which will be released in early 2020.
